Have you thought about life support lately?
My partner and I often discuss our end of life wishes. We disagree, so it is a nearly constant debate in our home. Being in our 20s most of our friends think this is both bizarre and unnecessary, however we both deal with these issues on a daily basis at work. Granted most of our clients are much older than me, but the thoughts and emotions are the same at any age. Today I saw an article about Grace Sung Eun Lee. She is a 28-year-old woman in New York who is trying to have her life support removed. She has an inoperable brain tumor and has been very clear that she does not want to remain on life support. Her parents want to keep her alive and have even been to the probate court to request a guardianship. The court denied the guardianship on Friday and it appears that Grace will get to have her life support removed soon.
