We look back at 2023 and can’t believe another year has flown by as we get ready to celebrate our 18th anniversary as Hurley Elder Care Law. From our inception, our founder, Miles Hurley, JD, CELA has been committed to holistically serving our clients through our life care planning model. After becoming a caregiver for several of his aging relatives, Miles decided to leave his business law practice and dedicate himself to helping people navigate the long-term care maze (watch his story HERE). Our comprehensive approach to elder law is our foundation and we have maintained this principle as we have grown exponentially year after year.
Care Coordination is Unique
We have seen a dramatic increase in requests for our Care Coordination services over the past few years. As available long-term nursing home beds decrease, families lean on our 3 social workers and 1 nurse to make recommendations, assist with placement, and help them advocate. They also stay on top of the ever-changing community resources to help meet our clients’ needs. This is all part of our unique lifecare planning model that we know sets us apart from all other elder law firms in Georgia.
Dedicated Public Benefits Team
Many of our clients work closely with our Public Benefits team. This team consists of experts in this field several of whom are former bankers. They work hand in hand with our Medicaid clients to get everything in place for their asset protection plan and submit their Medicaid application. This team takes the headaches and worries for our clients as they prepare for and proceed through the Medicaid process.
Our Hurley Elder Care Law website has attracted thousands of visitors as it is a hub for information, blogs, and Continuing Education and Community Event registration. We have added many new resources including our always-popular 2024 Nursing Home and Assisted Living guide. Also, our chat feature and email form have become quite popular, especially for after-hour inquiries. Stay tuned for new videos being added to our webinars-on-demand.
We Continue to Grow
We are thrilled Kelsie Scott LCSW, Nola Faulkner, Andrew Grigsby, Kiersten Dickey, and Christian Parks joined us this year. In addition, we have another “Hurley Baby”! Sweet Charlotte joined Kaila, her husband, Chad, and big sister Claire.
We owe a big thank you to all our clients, their families, and our community partners for working with our elder law firm. We are overjoyed whenever we receive a new Google review and would appreciate you sharing your experience with a review. You can also follow us on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. We greatly value our relationship with you and look forward to 2024!
