Celebrating 20 Years of Hurley Elder Care law

Next week, we will celebrate a milestone that feels both humbling and deeply meaningful to me: 20 years of Hurley Elder Care Law. It is hard to believe that two decades have passed since I first opened the doors, driven by a desire to do work that truly mattered. As I reflect on this anniversary, I am filled with gratitude for the thousands of clients and families who have trusted us during some of the most important and challenging moments of their lives.

My “Why”

My journey into elder law was deeply personal. Years ago, while helping my own grandparents navigate the long-term care system, I saw how confusing, overwhelming, and isolating the process could be. As an attorney, I realized I wanted more meaningful work than I was doing at the time. I wanted to guide families with both skill and compassion. After extensive research and self-reflection, with my wife and family’s unwavering support, I pursued that dream and founded Hurley Elder Care Law.

My “How”

From the start, my vision was clear. While we provide traditional elder law services like estate planning and asset protection, I understood that documents alone weren’t enough. Families need guidance, advocacy, and reassurance. That belief led us to create our Life Care Planning approach, a holistic, client-centered model that combines legal planning with care coordination, education, and ongoing support. Our goal has always been to empower families, help them secure the best possible care for their loved ones, and walk alongside them every step of the way.

Grateful for Our Clients and Team

What makes me most proud today is our team. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise are the heart of this firm. Together, we remain committed to our mission to be Certified, Compassionate, Competent, and Experienced.

As we celebrate this anniversary, I am sharing a short video we recorded some time ago that tells my story, along with a few words from some very special clients. Their voices remind me why this work matters just as much today as it did 20 years ago.

With deep gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead,
Miles Hurley, JD, CELA
