Our 20th year serving older adults

As we begin 2026, I find myself both proud and deeply grateful. 2025 was a record-breaking one for Hurley Elder Care Law, and it also marks the beginning of something especially meaningful to me—our 20th year serving older adults and their families across Georgia.

A Clear Vision

When I founded this firm, I had a clear vision. I wanted to create a practice that didn’t just focus on documents or transactions, but on people. Aging brings legal, financial, and care challenges that are deeply personal, and families deserve more than piecemeal solutions. They deserve guidance, clarity, and peace of mind. That belief continues to shape everything we do.

So what truly makes Hurley Elder Care Law different?

First and foremost, it’s our focus. Elder law is not a side practice for us. It is all we do. Our team of five attorneys practice exclusively in this area, and three of us hold the Certified Elder Law Attorney designation, a distinction earned by only 12 statewide. At our firm, every client meets directly with an attorney, because thoughtful planning requires personal attention and real expertise.

Equally important is our care coordination team. Legal planning alone is rarely enough. Our team of social workers and a nurse supports clients and families through the practical realities of aging. This ranges from evaluating care options to coordinating rehab stays or nursing home placements. Long after legal work is completed, this team remains an essential part of our clients’ journeys.

Navigating public benefits is another area where families often feel overwhelmed. Our public benefits team has extensive knowledge of Medicaid rules, along with a strong understanding of finance and banking. Their experience enables us to guide clients through complex applications with confidence and efficiency.

Educating our community and our care partners

Education has always been a cornerstone of our mission. Through presentations at hospitals, senior living communities, and professional conferences, our team empowers families and community partners with timely, accurate information on aging, care planning, and elder law updates. Informed families make better decisions, and we take that responsibility seriously.

Behind every successful client experience is a dedicated intake and support team. Our intake specialists are often the first voices families hear, offering complimentary consultations, guidance, and reassurance during what can be an emotional first step. Our paralegals and administrative staff ensure that every detail is managed with care and accuracy, enabling our attorneys to focus on strategy and advocacy.

Our team is growing

This past year also brought meaningful moments of growth and celebration. We welcomed new team members Ali Metcalf, Toyin Oke, Brittany Thomas, Meagan Kutsal, Chantall Nelson, and Sean Hickey. We celebrated Nicole’s wedding and proudly cheered on several graduations within our extended firm family. These moments matter because our culture is built on connections both inside and outside the office.

To our clients, their families, and our trusted community partners, thank you. Your confidence in us is something we never take lightly. Your kind words, referrals, and reviews help other families find the support they need, and we are truly grateful.

The year ahead

As we look ahead to 2026 and our 20th year in practice, I am excited for what’s to come. We remain committed to thoughtful planning, compassionate care, and strong relationships. Please stay connected with us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn as we continue this journey together.

Here’s to the next chapter, and to continuing to make a meaningful difference for the families we serve. We invite you to call us anytime with your elder law questions at 404-843-0121.
