What makes us different?

We are thrilled to celebrate a record-breaking 2024 at Hurley Elder Care Law as we wrap up another year. This milestone marks our 19th year of providing dedicated elder law services to older adults and their families. What makes Hurley Elder Care Law different? Our mission has always been to deliver compassionate, holistic care and peace of mind through our unique life care planning model—setting us apart as Georgia’s leading elder law firm.

What Makes Us Different?

Our comprehensive approach to elder law ensures that we meet the diverse needs of our clients. Here’s what truly sets us apart:

  • Expertise in Elder Law: Our team of four elder law attorneys practice exclusively in this field, making them seasoned experts. Additionally, three of our attorneys hold the prestigious Certified Elder Law Attorney (CELA) designation—a distinction shared by only 12 attorneys in Georgia.
  • Care Coordination Team: Our care coordination team, comprised of three social workers and one nurse, provide invaluable support. From recommending care options to facilitating rehab and nursing home placements, they remain vital to our clients’ care journeys long after the legal work is complete.
  • Public Benefits Expertise: Our public benefits team specializes in navigating Medicaid rules and regulations. With extensive experience in finance and banking, they ensure a seamless application process for clients seeking these benefits.
  • Community Education: Education is the cornerstone of our mission. Our community education team delivers presentations at hospitals, senior living communities, conferences, and more, sharing essential knowledge about aging-related topics. They also work closely with community partners, informing them of the latest elder law updates.
  • Client-Centered Intake Process: Our intake specialists are often clients’ first point of contact. They provide complimentary consultations, offer guidance, share resources, and schedule appointments.
  • Dedicated Support Staff: Behind the scenes, our paralegals and administrative team ensure every detail is handled with care and precision. Their contributions enable us to maintain our reputation as Georgia’s top elder law firm.

Celebrating Milestones and Growth

In 2024, we experienced incredible growth, welcoming several new team members: Anna Stallings, Alexis McCoy, Valerie Kee, Mary Remmes, and Diamond Waldon. We also bid a fond farewell to Nancy Malheiro, who retired after 13 years with us. Additionally, we reveled in personal celebrations: Andrew Grigsby’s wedding, Nicole Lott’s engagement, and Jennifer Ghorley’s professional accomplishment of becoming a Certified Elder Law Attorney.
